Agreeing to these terms
These terms are an agreement between you and [Company name] ("TasselKey", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using TasselKey you agree to them and to our Privacy Policy.
TasselKey is for U.S. high school students and their parents or guardians. A parent or guardian must create the account for a student under 18 and agrees to these terms for the student and for themselves.
What TasselKey does, and doesn't do
TasselKey finds scholarships the student may qualify for, checks each one on the provider's official website, organizes deadlines, drafts application answers from the student's own writing, and tracks results.
- We don't guarantee any scholarship, award amount, admission or financial aid. Providers decide who wins.
- We don't submit applications. The student and a parent approve each one, and you submit it on the provider's website.
- We don't complete the FAFSA or act as a financial aid office.
- Scholarship details come from providers and can change without notice. We check them, but always confirm the deadline and rules on the official page before you submit.
Your account
Give accurate information and keep it up to date, because eligibility depends on it. Keep your sign-in private and tell us at support@tasselkey.com if you think someone else has used your account. One plan covers one student; brothers and sisters each need their own plan.
Plan, price and payment
- Free preview: build a profile and see up to 5 verified matches.
- TasselKey plan: $250 for 12 months from the day you buy, paid once. It doesn't renew automatically. We email you a week before it ends.
- Returning families and siblings: $200 for a new 12-month plan.
- Coupons are one per household, have no cash value, and may expire.
- Prices don't include sales tax, which is added at checkout where it applies.
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides customer service for payments and handles returns, and Paddle's Buyer Terms apply to your purchase.
Match guarantee and refunds
If, once the student's profile is complete, we find fewer than 10 verified scholarships the student qualifies for, we'll refund your plan in full. Ask at support@tasselkey.com [within 60 days of purchase]. The guarantee covers the number of verified matches, not whether the student wins an award.
Other refund requests are considered case by case. Nothing here limits refund rights you have by law or under Paddle's Buyer Terms.
Your content and the student's writing
You own the documents and writing you add to TasselKey. You let us store, process and adapt them only to provide TasselKey to you, including drafting answers from them. You confirm you have the right to upload what you add.
Drafts are starting points built from the student's own stories. The student is responsible for the final application, including that it is truthful and follows each scholarship's rules. Some scholarships don't allow AI help or require the student's own work; we flag the rules we find, and you must follow them.
Using TasselKey fairly
Don't give false information to us or to scholarship providers, upload someone else's information without permission, try to get into other accounts, copy or scrape TasselKey, resell it, or use it to harm anyone. We may suspend or close accounts that do.
Other websites
Scholarship providers and other websites we link to are independent. We aren't responsible for their content, decisions or privacy practices.
Closing your account
You can close your account at any time from settings or by emailing support@tasselkey.com. Closing an account doesn't give a refund except as described above.
Disclaimers
We work hard to keep scholarship information accurate, but TasselKey is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we don't promise it will be error-free or uninterrupted, or that any scholarship will be awarded.
Limits on liability
To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, including a scholarship not awarded or a missed deadline, and our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. [Lawyer to confirm; some states limit these terms]
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of [State of Arizona], and disputes will be handled in its courts, unless the law where you live says otherwise.
Changes to these terms
If we make a material change, we'll email the account holder at least 30 days before it takes effect. Effective date: [Effective date].
