How it works

From "where do we even start" to a weekly to-do list

Parents set up the account, students do the writing, and TasselKey does the searching, checking and reminding.

  1. Upload what you have

Transcript, test scores, activities, past essays. We read them and fill in the profile; you confirm each fact.

  2. We find and verify

Every week we search national, state and local sources, then confirm each scholarship on its official website. Scams and outdated listings are filtered out.

  3. You pick, we draft

Choose the scholarships worth your time. We match each essay question to stories you've already written and draft from your own words.

  4. You approve and submit

Student and parent review a final package with every answer ready to type in, then submit it themselves. We track each result and what's next.

Why families trust it

The opposite of "apply to 100 scholarships with AI"

Confirmed on the official website

A scholarship only reaches your list once its own website confirms the deadline, amount and rules. Listing sites are never trusted on their own.

Your stories, your voice

Drafts only use experiences you wrote about. Every sentence traces back to your writing, and a separate check flags anything that doesn't sound like you.

Nothing is submitted without you

We never log in to scholarship sites or hold your passwords. Student and parent approve every application.

Scam filter

Anything that charges a fee, promises a win or asks for bank details is rejected automatically.

Private by design

Sensitive questions are optional. Your data is encrypted, never sold, and deleted when you ask.

Nothing slips

Deadlines, recommendation requests and FAFSA reminders land in one weekly email for both student and parent.

Listing-site errors our checks caught in September 2026

  • A site listed a July 31 deadline for Missouri's Bright Flight scholarship. It has no application at all; it's awarded on test scores.
  • An old university page still called NAU's Lumberjack award full tuition. The current award is $11,000 a year.
  • A listing gave a Horatio Alger program an October deadline. Their own site says the senior application runs Dec 1 – Feb 15.
Less work for parents

Built from what parents told us takes the most time

Keeping track of emails, filling in the same form again and again, and knowing what to do in 10th grade versus 12th.

Results tracker

Every application you sent and where it stands. When a decision date passes, we email to ask how it went, and one tap updates the board, the calendar and your totals.

Autofill helper

A browser helper fills in name, school, GPA, activities and essays on the scholarship's own form from answers you've already approved. You check it and press submit.

High school planner

A plan for each year from 9th to 12th grade: courses, test dates, service hours and activities that open more scholarships later, like Missouri's A+ and Bright Flight.

Award and renewal tracker

Every award won, what it pays, what the school needs from you, and the GPA or credits needed to keep renewable awards year after year.

Pricing

One plan. Everything included.

Paid once. Nothing renews on its own; we email you a week before your plan ends.

FAQ

Questions parents ask first

Do you submit applications for us?

No. We prepare everything and check it, then the student and a parent approve it. You submit on the scholarship's own website. We never hold your passwords.

Does AI write the essays?

Drafts are built only from stories the student already wrote or told us, trimmed and organized to fit each question. The student edits and approves every word. Some scholarships ban AI help; we show each one's rule and flag it before you submit.

Do you do our FAFSA?

No. We explain which scholarships need it and remind you of dates. Your family completes and submits the FAFSA yourselves.

Why don't you take a percentage of what we win?

Scholarship money is for college, and success fees can create problems with some providers. We charge one flat price, $250 for 12 months, and back it with a match guarantee.

Why is there only one plan?

Families told us picking a length was one more decision they didn't need. $250 covers 12 months, which runs from junior spring through senior year, and every feature is included.

Do returning families get a discount?

Yes. Renewing for another year, or starting a plan for a younger sibling, costs $200. Nothing renews on its own; we email you a week before your plan ends.

Can we hide scholarships we won't apply for?

Yes. Remove any scholarship with a reason and it disappears from your board, calendar and emails; you can put it back any time. You can also show only scholarships with no essay or a short one, above a minimum amount, due soon, or renewable.

How do we know if we won?

Providers write to the email address you put on the application. When an application's decision date passes, we email to ask whether you won; one tap marks it won, not selected or still waiting. You can also update it any time on Results, and any next step for an award goes on your to-do list.

What do you do with our data?

We use it only to find and prepare scholarships. It's encrypted, never sold, and deleted within 30 days if you close your account. Sensitive questions like income or heritage are always optional.

Who can sign up?

U.S. high school students, usually juniors and seniors. A parent or guardian creates the account for students under 18.
